About Me
Nicole Powers is a Bay Area native and has competed in all styles of dance since the age of seven. She has won many scholarships and titles and has participated in many performances, including dancing in the Disneyland Parade and West Coast Nationals best tapper. She was a member of the Varsity dance team at Carondelet High School and was dance team captain at Sacramento City College. She has
studied at many local studios, as well as taking classes with Denis Schmalle at the Oakland Ballet School paired with intensive training at Alonzo King LINES Ballet.
Passionate about dance, she began teaching at sixteen and has taken multiple dances to competition stages. Her choreography has placed in the top ten at local competitions and has won special judges awards. Nicole expresses her passion through her artistry and thinks everyone can benefit from dancing. With her experience with all age groups and styles, she decided that the fantastic town of Rio Vista needed a studio and that she would be the right person to create it. This town has a community she is proud of and wants to see the people within it succeed one dance step at a time.
